Goat is a 2 %BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD year Chihuahua blend. He seems to have the appearances of either a jack russel terrier or an Italian greyhound so he might be mixed with one of the two! Goat is about 13 lbs and is full grown! His personality is really shining through now that he is comfortable in my home, I cant stress enough to potential adopters that he is timid at first but i promise he comes around! It's obvious he had a rough past and has trust issues, especially with some men but I promise once he understands that they are not trying to hurt him he warms up. I like to say that he is a cat in a dog's body, he has a cat's ... (Read More)attitude and he likes to drink out of faucets like cats do! He only shows affection on his terms. He doesn't mind being loved on at all and will cuddle with you but will only love on you when he feels like it. He is completely kennel trained but has some issues with food aggression so I make sure he eats in his kennel and he knows to go there and whine when he's hungry then he whines when he's done and I will let him out. If there is food left in his bowl I set it on top of his crate or close and lock the door because he will get upset if the other animals try to eat his food. He is completely potty trained although he will mark his territory at a strangers house but I can assure you that it is only temporary and will learn that he cant do that with a stern 'NO'. He also tends to be protective of his toys and treats, He doesn't mind too much if you're playing with him and his toys but once he takes them into his kennel he wants them there and will guard them with his life until he decides to bring them out, same goes for his treats. Don't be alarmed if he growls when you play with him, he does that often and that is just his way of participating in playtime. He gets attached very quickly and tends to get anxious if you are away for too long, he needs someone who will spend quality time with him! (Less)

Darling Dino! This tiny, 5.5lb guy is about 3yrs old. He's a goofy little guy... very shy but exited to meet new people at the same time. He often doesn't know if he should jump on you with excitement or lay down in submission, so he does both! He's such a cutie! Dino will thrive in a calm, gentle home with or without another small dog. He gets along great with other dogs but is not too interested in playing with them. He really is always just trying to figure out the humans in his world so he can have more lap time! Dino will do best in an adult only home that has plenty of time to share and help build his confidence. It doesn't ... (Read More)take long for him to become very attached to his person... and then the clown in him comes out! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-04-00576Molly (female)

Italian Greyhound Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Little Miss Molly... this adorable girl weighs approx 40-45lbs and is approx 3.5yrs old... and what a doll!! According to the DNA test (of which we have copies), this little girl is an interesting mix of Rotti and Italian Greyhound... with a couple of other breeds in her far off ancestry thrown in. Molly loves to run and play fetch, and she absolutely loves the water. She's also very sweet and cuddly and loves people. She's often nervous when meeting new dogs so calm, controlled introductions are necessary. Once she realizes the other dog just wants to play, she loves to join in. Molly is a very nice girl that already knows some basic ... (Read More)commands and she's quickly learning more. She will thrive in a home that has a big backyard in which to play with the kids and another medium energy, like size or larger dog... but no cats for this girl! She's very quiet and shares her toys/food/treats willingly with the other dogs. She loves to take long walks, jogs, go camping and have lots of lake or beach outings. That is, unless you have a pool in which she can play! (Less)
