|Rescue Me ID: 16-01-19-00314Charlee (female)|
Date into Rescue: 12/19/15 Reason for being in rescue: found as a stray Foster Location: Charlotte, NC Special Needs: None Weight: 9 lbs Height: 17 in. Fence needed: No Adoption fee $299 What is my personality like? If you are looking for a snuggle-buddy, then Charlee is your girl! Charlee is a sensitive soul who just wants to be loved. Unfortunately, Charlee does not like being in a crate or confined to a room. She is a free-range dog and she is looking for someone who will let her sleep in the bed with them at night (preferably curled up RIGHT next to you!). Charlee is extremely submissive and gets along great with other dogs! Charlee LOVES to be outside and walks great on a leash. What kind of home would be best for me? Charlee is an easygoing, gentle girl and would be a great first-dog for someone. She has never once snapped or growled at her foster-mom. She minds her foster-mom very well and is eager to please! Charlee is looking for a calm environment without a lot of stress and activity. She is easily frightened by noise and chaos. Charlee is extremely affectionate and would be happy anywhere with people that will give her lots of love and attention. She is good with both men and women. How I act when I first meet new people? Charlee is very timid when meeting new people and will tuck her tail between her legs and shake like a leaf. However, it doesn't take long for her to warm up to you and when she does you won't be able to keep her out of your lap! Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Italian Greyhound Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Italian Greyhound is a gentle, elegant, somewhat nervous and high strung dog. The Italian Greyhound makes a good companion for low-key families without rambunctious children. Italian Greyhounds get along well with other pets, especially other Italian Greyhounds, but do not do well with larger dogs. Italian Greyhounds need gentle but firm obedience training.
