Rescue Me ID: 17-09-15-00157Juliet (female)

Italian Greyhound Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Romeo and Juliet. These two were abandoned at a park in Phoenix when a gentleman saw them and contacted us for help. Juliet, an Italian greyhound/chihuahua mix, is approximately 10 mo. old. Juliet came into rescue with a limp in her right front leg. After x-rays were taken it was determined she had an old fracture in her elbow and that it did not require surgery but unfortunately, she would always have a limp. Sadly, two days after her consult with the orthopedic surgeon she fractured both bones in the same leg. She had favored that leg for so long that the bone density had diminished leaving the leg weak. The only option was ... (Read More)amputation. Little Juliet did not let her amputation slow her down. She is still quite playful but is equally content curling up and watching the action. She is a total love bug and really loves to cuddle and spoon with you. She loves playing with big squishy, squeaky toys and her antics will put a smile on your face. She is crate trained, working on potty training, and good with other dogs. She has not been exposed to cats. She rides nicely in the car and would be a great travel companion. Due to her petite size and fragile nature, she would be better suited to a family with older children. Romeo, a chiweenie, 10 mo. old, is the more dominant of the two and is a stout little ball of energy. He enjoys playing fetch and the bigger and squishier the toy the happier he is. He is a happy go lucky little guy who enjoys being part of the action. He likes going for car rides, playing in water, or tagging along on a walk. He is crate trained and working on potty training. He gets along with other dogs but has not been exposed to cats. He would do well in a family with children since he wants to be part of the action. Romeo requires a very secure yard because he can climb fences or squeeze through the tiniest of holes when left alone. If you are interested in meeting Romeo or Juliet please fill out an adoption application at http://www.fourpeaksanimalrescue.org/index.php?pr=Adoption_Application (Less)
